Staff Highlights: November Employees of the Month

As we embark on the month of November, it is with great pride that we announce Alyssa and Darian as our Employees of the Month. Chosen by their peers, these nominations showcase their exceptional teamwork, unwavering dedication to patient care, and remarkable ability to embrace the daily challenges that come their way.

Alyssa joined our team at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center in February 2020. Since then, she has been dedicated to obtaining her R.V.T. license, which has allowed her to work closely with our veterinarians. She assists with patient treatments and procedures, monitors anesthesia, collects lab samples, places catheters, and administers medications. Alyssa plays a significant role in our Patient Care department. She helps admit patients for medical boarding, reviews their paperwork, and ensures they receive important medications and dosages. Whether caring for hospitalized patients or facilitating their boarding experience, she ensures that treatments are completed and that patients are making progress. Alyssa also maintains open communication with both the veterinarian and the pet parents, providing necessary updates to ease their worries and concerns. What Alyssa enjoys most about working at Bishop Ranch is “working closely with and caring for all the patients that come to our hospital. I also have amazing coworkers I can count on, and I love my medical boarders as if they were my own.”

Although a new addition to our team as of August 2024, Darian has quickly become an integral part of the daily operations at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center. Primarily serving as an Exam Room Assistant, he took on his training in a hands-on manner and hit the ground running. Like anyone in a new role, he faced various challenges, but instead of being discouraged, he confronted them directly and sought ways to transform them into opportunities for growth. Darian brings a positive attitude to work each day, which inspires others on the team to adopt a similar mindset. Even as a newcomer, he enthusiastically welcomes the chance to meet new furry friends and introduce himself to clients. When other departments need assistance, he is often one of the first to step in, ensuring that the workload is shared and that patients receive the care they need. Part of what Darian enjoys most about his job is “looking forward to seeing and helping room our patients-especially the pittys!” We are truly fortunate to have someone like Darian on our team, and we are confident that he has a bright future ahead!
