At Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center, we are thrilled to announce our April Employees of the Month: Kate and Kenya! These two amazing team members were nominated by their peers for their unwavering dedication, kindness, and the exceptional care they provide to our patients and clients every day. We are incredibly lucky to have them as part of our team!
Kate has been an essential member of our team since May 2024. She works primarily in our Boarding department but also contributes in Outpatient Services and as an Exam Room Assistant. Kate’s passion for animal care is evident in everything she does. Whether she’s administering medications, providing vaccines, performing nail trims, or offering some extra TLC to our furry guests, Kate ensures that each pet receives the highest level of care during their stay. She is also committed to maintaining clear and compassionate communication with clients, always ensuring they feel informed and comfortable about their pets' well-being while they are in our care. Beyond her technical skills, it’s Kate’s warm and empathetic nature that truly stands out. She has a special connection with the pets who board with us frequently, saying, “I always look forward to seeing and giving love to all of the sweet pets, especially the frequent flyers that I’ve come to know more personally. It’s incredibly rewarding to build those special connections.” Kate's ability to make both pets and clients feel at ease truly reflects her dedication to making each animal’s stay a positive experience. Her colleagues appreciate her for her willingness to lend a helping hand, her positive attitude, and the care she shows every pet she interacts with.
Kenya, who has been with us for almost three years, is a true jack-of-all-trades. As a dedicated member of our Treatment team, she works across multiple departments, including Boarding, Client Service Representative, Exam Room Assistant, Patient Care, and Urgent Care. Kenya’s daily tasks are diverse, but she handles each responsibility with efficiency and grace. From managing incoming and outgoing patients for treatments like nail trims, medical injections, and blood pressure checks, to assisting doctors with diagnostic testing like x-rays, Kenya plays a crucial role in the seamless flow of patient care throughout the hospital. She has a keen eye for noticing when a pet needs extra attention, and her ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanor ensures that our patients are in great hands. Her communication skills are top-notch, and she makes it a priority to keep clients informed about their pets' care, giving them peace of mind during what can sometimes be a stressful experience. When asked what she loves most about her work, Kenya shared, “I love seeing all the pets we get to care for and collaborating with my amazing team. It’s so fulfilling to be part of such a supportive and hardworking group of people.” Kenya’s teamwork and dedication are truly appreciated by everyone around her, and she exemplifies the compassion and professionalism that Bishop Ranch is known for.
Both Kate and Kenya go above and beyond in their roles, always putting the needs of our patients and clients first. Their ability to connect with both pets and people, coupled with their strong work ethic and positive attitudes, make them standout members of our team.
