MARCH 17th, 2020 - UPDATE
1. We are and will remain OPEN for sick pets and emergencies or those requiring essential care - Like Puppy Vaccines, Chemotherapy Treatments, Rechecks, Lab work, Medicine injections, etc.
During the shelter in place order, we will be checking clients in from outside. Our team will be ready to greet you at your vehicle and facilitate appointments, or bringing medications to you. This is in an effort to protect our clients and staff during this period.
2. Prescriptions - We will continue to mail the prescription to the owners as soon as possible. Our priority will be to refill and mail critical medications first, as a result, preventative medications will likely be delayed 1 week.
3. We will be sending email and text messages if we are canceling your appointment - if it is for wellness, adult pet vaccines (pets 12 months and older), toenail trims, anal gland expressions, and other non-urgent services so that our team can be available for sick and urgent veterinary care needs.
4. Pet Store - The Pet Care Depot is OPEN and will remain so for the inevitable future their hours will be regular hours at this time. They will be imposing limits on bags and cans of prescription diets purchased as well as increasing the amount of food on hand so we can make sure all pet owners have ample food supply for their pets.

Dear Clients,
I wanted to reach out to you and let you know of the extra precautions we are taking with increased concerns of COVID 19 in our community.
It is our priority to continue to be available to provide care for your pets in their time of need while also being diligent and practical with our practice of recommended CDC measures to keep our staff and our clients safe as possible.
The measures we are taking are as follows:
Constantly monitoring information from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, state, and local agencies to ensure we are following the guidelines set in place by authorities. Including updating you on pet care recommendations for their risk and protection.
Communicating with our staff and sending daily reminders to staff regarding the importance of adhering to all handwashing protocols and preventative measures.
Having hand sanitizers on hand and available in all areas of our hospital.
Enhancing cleaning procedures of common areas including disinfecting frequently but not limited to door handles, chairs, leashes, and counters.
Requesting our staff to avoid close contact with each other and clients including shaking hands, hugs
Making sure to send staff home if they are ill.
Mailing prescriptions to owners at no additional charge.
Amending our Boarding Reservations Cancellation Policy adjusting our cancellation policy to crediting deposits if canceled within 72 hours of scheduled reservation check-in date.
We especially want to support our pet owners that may be at higher risk who may need care for their pets but may want to avoid coming into the hospital if possible. We will be able to support video or phone call appointments for clients with their veterinarians who state they are at risk and their pet does not need critical emergency care in the coming weeks.
We plan on continuing to remain open during our business hours and continue to provide Routine and Urgent Care & Emergency Services as needed. Should our ability to provide care change we will inform you as soon as possible.
Thank you for continuing to trust our team with your pets,
Margaret Simuro
