Meet Emily MacDougal! January Employee of the Month

Emily has been a member of the BRVC team since 2011. She is a graduate of UC Berkeley as well as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) . In California, a Registered Veterinary Technician is the equivalent to a human Registered Nurse (RN). (RVTs) go through 2-6 years of schooling and specific clinical training. After graduation, they must pass a stringent test and pass a background check in order to receive their CA license.

Emily works in several departments at BRVC. In our Patient Care Department she manages the patients that are hospitalized. Emily is also part of our Procedure Team where she is responsible for monitoring anesthesia and assisting doctors with surgeries. Emily's technical skills and knowledge make her an asset and great trainer for new technicians.

As a senior member to the BRVC Technician Team, Emily is known for her attention to detail, experience and compassion towards patients and their owners. Emily is dedicated to provide all pets with the highest quality veterinary medicine. She is an inspiration to co-workers with her continuous thirst for learning new advances of veterinary medicine. We are very proud to announce Emily as our Employee of the Month for January!
