Niki White, RVT, has been a part of our Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center team for almost 12 years, and we couldn't be prouder to announce her as BRVC's June Employee of the month. Niki is one of our most experienced and highly skilled technicians on the Treatment Floor. She and the doctors have an amazing relationship and they trust her with any patient they bring her way. They respect and value her skills and have confidence our patients are getting the best care.
But Niki's talents don't end on the Treatment Floor: she also is one of best Dental Technicians we have! As a Licensed RVT in the state of California, Niki is legally allowed to extract teeth. Through many years of dedicated work, this is a skill that Niki has mastered. If your pet needed a dental cleaning and extractions in the past, it is extremely likely Niki did them. When you love something as much as Niki loves dentals and extractions, it's inevitable you'd be the best. "I love dentals. I can be in there with my music doing what I do best. The doctors trust in me to do a good job and get it done quickly and correctly. Also I love that our team can make each other laugh in almost any situation."
Niki came to us through word of mouth. "I heard about BRVC from my Vet Tech teacher while I was in school. She highly recommended that I apply because BRVC provides great medicine and is always learning new techniques in our field." Her teacher definitely pointed her in the right direction. Niki says the best part of her job is the doctors treating her like an equal and working as a team. She feels she couldn't have gained the knowledge she has without this ideal relationship. She loves that BRVC's goal is to always provide the best medicine. Because of this, technicians are always learning new and better techniques. "I love working with our doctors. They treat us as equals and respect our opinions. I like that we are always changing and improving. (i.e. Laser, dental techniques)"
Niki grew up in Antioch California. When she is not working she loves to camp, go off–roading, attend country concerts and to travel. At the moment Niki does not have any pets. ".... I mean I had a Chihuahua, Taquito, but he picked my parents over me. {Sad face}! "We are so thrilled for Niki; she definitely deserves this recognition. Niki: Thank you for all the years of hard work and dedication you have given us and the pets we treat! We truly appreciate all you have done.
