As Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center & Urgent Care continues to grow, we’re proud to share wonderful staff personnel stories from our partner practices!
This month, our employee of the month is Janet Jimenez, a wonderful Veterinary Technician, working at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center and Amador Valley Veterinary Center.
Janet has grown up loving animals and this compassion for the wellbeing of all types of pets can be seen every day in her work “I've always loved all animals, but the day I realized that I wanted to be a veterinarian or veterinarian technician was when I was about 10!”
The attentive tenderness Janet has with patients is recognized by her co-workers “Although I have only worked with her once, that's all I needed to know that Janet is a very positive, hardworking and intelligent technician. I look forward to working with her more in the future.” Danny Allhands, BRVC Technician Coordinator.
Even growing up, Janet’s compassion for animals was a calling “I had my own "pigeon hospital” (a chicken wire cage my dad built for me in our backyard). I would catch pigeons that looked hurt or wounded, feed them and care for them until they were able to fly away!”
Janet’s favorite part of working at AVVC & BRVC, “Having the chance to help a pet in need is a very rewarding feeling. I enjoy working besides all my amazing fellow co-workers and doctors whom I have already learned so much from”.
When not working, Janet enjoys spending time with her two beautiful daughters! Ximena is 6 and is in 1st grade and Penelope is a lively 2 year old! Janet’s family has a 9 year old chihuahua that has “L.D.S” (little dog syndrome) and thinks he's a Great Dane! They enjoy swimming almost on a daily basis and anything that sounds fun to her sweet girls! Janet is also a loyal baseball fan - her favorite team? The Oakland A's! "I love love love The Oakland A's and enjoy going to the coliseum to watch them play!"
Janet is excited to continue her veterinary career here and we look forward to clients and patients getting to know her as we have!
